VixulCon 2025 — A Milestone Moment for Emerging Tech Services
April 16, 2025 — Austin, TX
VixulCon 2025 concluded on April 16 with resounding success, bringing together the brightest minds and most innovative leaders in the emerging technology services (ETS) space. Hosted by Vixul Inc. from April 15 to 16, the two-day flagship conference showcased Vixul’s commitment to cultivating a vibrant ecosystem for founders, investors, and professionals dedicated to advancing technology services.
Now in its third year, VixulCon has grown into a premier convening point for the ETS community. This year’s event welcomed around a hundred attendees, including veteran entrepreneurs with a combined exit value exceeding $1 billion, high-growth Vixul portfolio companies, and SMEs from across the world. The conference was open to the public for the first time, further expanding its impact and reach.
Day 1 spotlighted Operational Excellence, featuring a strategic panel on scaling sales ops, a keynote by Ellen Daley, former CEO of Acorio (acquired by NTT Data Services) on leadership, and talks focused on organizational resilience. A standout moment was the hands-on session with Marcel Petitpas about the three immutable drivers of profitability in service companies. The impact of AI on business operations was also a popular topic, with a review of the economic and regulatory landscape around AI delivered by Aaron Woo (Partner, Vanguard Legal LLC).
Day 2 turned the lens toward Innovation, with portfolio showcases and panels that highlighted advances across the ETS landscape. Artificial Intelligence was at the forefront of the discussion, with several talks focused on advancements in AI. A fireside chat with Chris Hart, former CEO of Levvel (acquired by Endava), and Emily Lewis-Pinnell focused on the disruption in the tech services space due to AI, as well as the opportunities it presents for in-house AI solutions, and how to position a tech services company as a GenAI consultancy.
We rounded out the day with lessons from the frontlines of tech services growth and rare, candid insights into enterprise client expectations straight from enterprise leaders themselves as part of the Voice of the Customer panel. This panel featured a bevy of tech services industry heavy hitters, including Buddy Flerl (CEO, Datastrike), Rob Brown (President & COO, Datastrike), Jeff Gibson (President & CEO, Apti27 Holdings), and Greg Downer (Senior Vice President of Technology Delivery, Modivcare).
“VixulCon is more than just a conference—it’s the catalyst for a growing movement in emerging tech services,” said Ali Hussain, Managing Partner at Vixul. “We are building a supportive, high-value network for founders and their teams to learn, connect, and grow. The energy at VixulCon 2025 affirmed that our community is stronger—and more ambitious—than ever.”
From deep-dive panels to spontaneous hallway connections, VixulCon 2025 delivered actionable insight, inspiring conversations, and a renewed sense of purpose for everyone shaping the future of tech services.
